March 2010
5 – 7 March
Val attends Faber Academy historical writing course in Chipping Norton
tutored by Tracy Chevalier and Louise Doughty.

11th March
Penny Ingham, Cava Books latest author, launches The King’s Daughter,
at Waterstone’s Alton on 11th March.

12th March
Penny was interviewed by Richard Garfield of the Basingstoke Gazette and an article will be appearing on Monday 22nd March.

19th March
We have had news that The King’s Daughter will be an editors choice featured in the May issue of Historical Novels Review (the magazine for the Historical Novels Society).

20th March
Val attends Independent Publishers Guild conference
and Independent Publishing Awards dinner.

27th March
Val will be signing her new book Sea Creatures at Haslemere Bookshop from 11.00am-2.00am.

3rd April
Val has received a very good review for Sea Creatures from The Bookbag,
an online review company. The King’s Daughter has also been reviewed by The Bookbag.

19-21 April
Gingercat/Cava Books were at the London Book Fair on the IPG stand.
We had lots of visits and a small drinks party at midday on Tuesday to meet the authors,
Penny Ingham and Val Harris.

May 2010
This month sees the start of a book signing tour by Val promoting Sea Creatures
and Penny promoting The King’s Daughter.

1 May - Penny will be at Waterstone’s, Alton
8th May - Penny will be at Waterstone’s, Farnham
22nd May - Val will be at Waterstone’s, Farnham

3rd May
Gingercat/Cava Books and authors Val and Penny will be signing books
and hosting a stall at The Haslemere Charter Fair from midday onwards.

The Editors Choice historical novel society review for The King’s Daughter,
will be appearing in the May edition and also online at their website.

Penny Ingham will be signing copies of her debut novel

Talk at The Curtis Museum in Alton, Hampshire by Penny Ingham.
Penny will be talking about her debut novel: The King's Daughter, a
novel about Elflaede, daughter of King Alfred the Great of Wessex, as well
as discussion about that period.

Autumn/Winter

Penny Ingham will be signing copies of her 2010 debut novel: The King's
